Having had the hardest decision this week to make, which has brought utter heartbreak to our family, we found comfort in the service of cherished companions and the excellent quick service they provided. I spoke to Ruth on Tuesday and she quickly arranged for a vet to come out to my home when it was needed, it was all done with dignity and care from start to finish. Paul gently collected our beloved Indie and even wrapped her in a blanket and gave us plenty of time to say goodbye on her final journey. A very difficult time made slightly more bearable with their excellent service. The gave us paw prints to treasure and locks of her hair. The same day our beloved Indie was returned to us. We really can’t thank you both enough.

I cannot recommend Cherished Companion enough, Ruth and her husband went above and beyond for us. As soon as he arrived he started stroking and talking so kindly to our cat who passed and was so gentle when moving her into a basket and tucking her into a blanket. They returned her back to us in less than 24 hours so we could have her home for Christmas morning. Really compassionate couple who really care about what they do. Definitely recommend

We’d like to thank Ruth & Paul at Cherished Companion for their kindness shown to us when our beloved dog, Diesel, passed away leaving us broken hearted. They collected Diesel from the vets & his cremation was done with care & respect.

His ashes were returned to us a few days later, along with a lovely little keepsake card with his paw prints on it. Their professionalism, dignity & support made an upsetting time less traumatic for us & was much appreciated.

After losing our beloved Westie, Bree, Cherished Companions was recommended to us by our vet, I am so glad that they did. Having not been through such an experience before I was unsure of what to expect, but Paul and Ruth were nothing but helpful, professional and caring from start to finish and I cannot recommend them enough.

Ruth very kindly returned my girl back to me the next day which was a huge comfort at a very sad time. We are very grateful for the warmth and kindness shown to ourselves and Bree from Cherished Companions and I’m so glad that such a lovely service exists locally.

Thank you Ruth and Paul at Cherished Companion for taking care of our beautiful cat, Tiggy, and making a very difficult process so much easier. From collecting her from home to returning her ashes in a lovely scatter pouch everything was done with care and with no pressure. We’ll be choosing a little memorial box soon.

Thank you so much for looking after our little Dizzy, she was with us for 17 years and we felt that she was in the best hands with you. Nothing was too much trouble and you came straight out on a cold and wet night to collect her from our home. The communication going forward was excellent and you talked me and my children through every step of the process. We were also offered the option to put the ashes of our other cat in the same casket as Dizzy so they could be together again. I will 100% be recommending your business to friends and family.

I can’t thank Ruth enough for her kind and compassionate care she took over looking after our beloved dog Winston. She was very considerate and patient and didn’t rush us into choosing about what we would like to bring him home in, she just left us with a pamphlet to peruse after she had taken him.

The pamphlet had some nice products to choose from and the family bio was a nice touch . From what is a not nice situation to loose a family pet cherished companion made it bearable.

Winston was back home after a few days after he was cremated in a lovely blue urn and they also did some paw prints for us to cherish. I would highly recommend them.

Absolutely recommend Cherished Companions. My cat passed away in his sleep 5 weeks after my other cat and the experience I had previously was very cold. After discovering Cherished Companions I gave them a call to see if they could help me with my cat. They were lovely, warming and caring people. They came within the hour to collect spider and had a special bed and blanket for him which made me feel like knew he was in good hands. They kept me informed every step of the way updated me daily on where they were up to with my furry friend. Spider was back home with me within a few days and there was no pressure to make a decision immediately of what I wanted. It was also comforting to know he was not too far from home on his last journey. Highly recommend this lovely company and I most certainly will be using them in the future.

I cannot recommend Ruth & the team at Cherished Companion enough. After losing my hedgehog, Harold, recently I messaged Ruth about arranging to have him cremated as I’ve only used the vets beforehand but I’ve always wanted a more personal experience when handing them over. So to know exactly who he were going to & where he were going made the process much easier. All messages were replied to quickly, she came & collected him straight away & went through the booklet with me showing me all the different caskets/urns until I was happy with my final choice. She had him ready for me within a few days & brought him back in the most beautiful, well made little box with his name on & a little card with his footprints in too. I honestly cannot praise them enough, I’ll recommend them to everyone & will be bringing all my furry & spiky babies to her in the future 🖤
